This harbor has already heard around 15 Century .At that time it was own by Pajajaran kingdom, there were many seller come from around Indonesia such as Palembang, Madura, Malaka, and others.
The first European people who came to Sunda kelapa was from Portugal named de Alvin he came around 1513 . the second European is Enrique Leme, he make an agrement with Sundanis Kingdom , he was accepted by Sundanis Kingdom on 21 Agustus 1522. As you can see the simbol ( Padro) of the agrement in Nasional Musiuem
Then Netherland’s Seller came on 13 November 1596 lead by Cournelis De Houtman
He built an organitation named VOC in 1610. Sunda kelapa Has cover area about 631.000 m2.
If you walk to the west of the harbour there were Musium Bahari, Pasar Ikan , and Tower or Uitkijk toren. Those places nice to visit, you may intercative with the indonesian local seller and even people there.
